Save the Children Norway started supporting partners in Mongolia in 1994. Its' major partner today is the Mongolian Child Rights Center (MCRC), which has been a partner since 1996. Mongolia is in the middle of a transitional period which taxes heavily on vulnerable children and families. The government is actively supporting its citizens by planning social security systems, which support vulnerable people through government and non-government agencies.
